Dear God,

I am very glad to write this short note to you. I find it difficult to put my thoughts in words because I can not say anything which you do not know already; because you know me from the depths of my being.

What surprises me is how you can still love me after knowing me so well. You are good and perfect while I am weak and deprived of every form of perfection. You know the thoughts, desires, hopes, anxieties and joys of every man. You know every hair on my heard. You know the dark places of my heart; yet, you love me as if I were something of great value.

My God! Oh my God! You are infinitely sweet! You come in contact with me above all through your son made flesh and in the Holy Spirit. You do not therefore only touch my soul, but also my body and my spirit.

I think I am too unworthy of your love. Yet you love me so! Oh good God! May every breath of my mouth, every thought of my mind, every movement of my tongue and parts be dedicated to the love of you and the glory of your name.

May you be loved oh God in eternity!
